El Mundo Chico, means “A Small World” in Spanish. Its a play on my boyhood nickname, Chico, and the fact that I love travel. When you travel you discover that it is indeed a small world.

I have always had an eye to see photos in the beauty of the world around me. I found a way to capture the beauty through photographs. Whether it was through photojournalism when I was younger or the photos I take now for websites or personal, I love that I can share how I see the world with others so they too can appreciate the beauty in the world we live in.

From the moment I received my first camera for Christmas…an Ansco disc camera, I’ve been hooked ever since. Over 25 years later, photography is still a passion and I’m never far from a camera waiting for that perfect shot.

I spent 35 years shooting commercial photography here in Houston before retiring to Kingwood. I enjoy photographing my travels as well as my children and grandchildren. I mainly use Flickr and Instagram to share my work with friends and family. Feel free to check them out.
